Nursing services:
In 1996 LSB working group prepared a training programme and methodology for social nurses. This programme after three-year trial period was approved by the Ministry of Education and science and the Ministry of Social protection and labor. Four colleges now prepare professional nurses according to that programme. LSB in order to guarantee working places for these people established public institutions that provide nursing services for people who are ill and stay at home. Samaritan volunteers who were trained basic nursing skills by LSB teachers work together with the employed professionals.
For two years already LSB in some branches has been teaching families to take care of their ill family member. This initiative based on projects received funding from several municipalities. It is major support for families which cannot afford nurses.
Other kinds of support are:
Cleaning services for disable and old socially supported people (Samaritans help to wash their clothes and clean rooms); day centers for old people were they can communicate and share their problems.
Work with children:
Summer camps:

Every year since 1995 LSB organizes big summer camps for Samaritan youth from various LSB branches and for their foster-children, i.e. disabled children and children from asocial or socially supported families. Doctors, teachers and Samaritan volunteers that work at these camps try to root goodness and understanding to hearts of these children while integrating problematic children to the in-between of Samaritan youth.
Other activity:
Since 1999 LSB raises 24 orphans in Pakruojis’ orphan home “Naminukas”. Day care centers for children from problematic families and for the elderly are run in Jurbarkas, Vilnius, Ukmergė and Vievis. Great attention is also paid to children who suffered physical or sexual violence.
